Once again it’s on! Nothing like hot summer days in the South. The things we put together never ceases to amaze me! Amy called me with this crazy idea of a room that defies gravity for a photo shoot. Tables on walls, people hanging from the ceiling, floating objects… In my head I am thinking…ok sounds cool. Then we draw it out, buy materials and whala! We start building a set in her driveway. Ben and Roger do the building part(Thanks Guys!) Our resident Photographer, the Amazing Kristy West comes in and gives us some direction and we go on a mind bending adventure into a world created for this moment in time. I can not express how much I love and appreciate my Nashville family for all the opportunities and freedom they have presented me with. I can only hope to match what they give. Cheers!

The third release from the “Son of a Programer” Beat Tape Series. Traveling to Philly allowed me to spend some quality time with my MPC Touch. Since there was ample free time to learn a few more things with my “Droid” I put together these Instrumentals. In Philly, I visited some great neighborhoods with lots of Art and History. I was also privileged enough to meet some of the city’s finest people. Parking was Horrible! But, the people showed a lot of Love.
Down the Rabbit Hole
Some things cannot be denied. Even when everything around you is telling you to walk away or get out. Sometimes the frequency calls you. You could join it, fight it, ignore it or absorb its power to make it something more. Either way the power is there to be unleashed onto this world. Beware of the weak, beware of the ones who seek power and embrace the ones who are brave for they maybe the ones who free you from the Trap.
Centrifugal Force
As I dig through forgotten recordings from the past, I sometimes come across a frequency that will not let me pass. No matter how hard I try to avoid conflict, I am forced to draw upon my weapons to insure my survival. With every battle scar earned I gain the strength and wisdom to continue on my journey. Even though it is a journey with no end, I will kept walking the path until death becomes me.
Beyond One's Depth
I labeled this as an R&B track. Honestly, I just flipped a coin. Normally I would just label something like this a “Hybrid” track but I was unable to recognize any other elements. I will leave that to the Universe. I am sure it will reveal itself to its rightful destiny.

When this project started, I firgured it would be a great time for me to get back to making some dope beats for a very talented artist. Coming from a small city with Hip-Hop ambitions, I was never really given a lot of opportunities with my music. With the exception of my "ILL Circle" counterparts, no one really gravitated to my style of beats. So, when given the suggestion to work with, Amy I really wasn't expecting a whole lot to come from it. Especially since she was already pretty active with her rock band "Yumi and the System". But, once I sent her that first track which ended up being "Whatever the Odds", that she basically sent back to me within a few hours I knew something awesome was beginning. "Unalienable" is the 3rd song we created. After a strategic meeting of minds, we decided to make "Unalienable" our first release. I reached out to the director of the video, Josh Carples to create the vision for this song. He is a long time friend from my hometown. He is a bit of a renaissance man. He is a musician, singer, songwriter, actor, photographer, videographer... the list goes on. Me and Amy both agreed to let him have free-range for this project. Needless to say we are quite pleased with his results. Then, there is Kristy West a long time friend of Amy. Ms. West is our image specialist! She has headed our photo shoots with grace and elegance. She also headed the production on the video, making this whole process possible. The cast and crew were all friends willing to jump in and help put this together. We had an amazing time. And, I got to give a big shot out to my lady in life and happiness for putting together that fly outfit for the video. She has been helping me get my swag on point. Success is all about the people around you. Choose wisely!
